We bought the Dune Racer birthday gift for our third child. We did some research and read many reviews before making our decision. We are very pleased with the Dune Racer. I really like that you can lock in a lower gear when he was learning to drive. Not a lot of power with low speed, but once he was comfortable with the direction, let us go up a gear and were very impressed by the power of this thing has! We have lots of hills, gravel and grass around our house and climb over the dunes runner. We have not had to push him out or anything. I like the way this vehicle is lower to the ground, making it easy for him to get on and off and seems to make it more stable. The only problem is that our son never wants to stop for a break! It will take a long time. Excellent buy, I highly recommend.
